I would like some information on his commanding officer he served in Comp. B , 5th Kansas Cav,, Mount Vernon , Lawerence Co. MO. He was my gr-grandfather George Washington Cox and he served 4 years from 1861 to 1865 or 1866 if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated Thank You Shirley
