For those of you who research units and soldiers in other states, I've discovered that all or part of the units and soldiers from at least two states are available at the NARA Civil War Soldiers and Sailors System.

Missouri Union Units and Soldiers
South Carolina Confederate Units and Soldiers

For those of you with a little extra time to search, if you find any more states with unit and soldier information, which exist, in spite of the fact that they are not listed as being available, please post your findings as a continuation of this thread.
