I am looking for information detailing Thomas Clement Fletcher's run for governor in 1864. I have read in an "unoffical" source that as governor elect, he raised an army and defeated Stirling Price, but the Official Report series does not seem to agree. Can anyone provide information reagarding sources which would back up the claim that he was a brevet brigadier general, breveted by Abraham Lincoln?
