I am looking for any information on the hanging of Rev. John Chance M.D. It is said that Rev. Chance and his men were caught by Gen. Shelbys men and Rev. Chance was hanged. I have been told that this occured in Northern Arkansas but believe it more likely occured in Southern Missouri. I believe all this took place in 1863. Any help on the regiments or the hanging greatly appreciated
