Bruce...thanks for the information. I assumed it would be the EMM, but to have the tombstone clearly state 43rd Regt MEW seemed unusual/strange. His tombstone is at the Saint James Veterans Home Cemetery. My son and I walked the cemetery copying all inscriptions of CW vets for graves registration purposes for the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War national database.
