I recall there is such a map in Winter's Civil War history of St. Louis published in the last five years or so by the Missouri Historical Society here in St. Louis. It shows the line of forts along what is now Jefferson Boulevard, that runs north and south along what was then close to the western border of St. Louis with St. Louis County. The Federals would have sited these forts to guard likely avenues of approach of a southern army, so if you study modern topographical maps of this part of the city you can probably figure out where they were along that street. I always thought there would have been one placed on each side of what is now Jefferson Street viaduct across the Missouri Pacific railroad yards, but that is pure guesswork.
