Barry, This is your lucky day, I am a member of the Turner Brigade and one of our Companys is Co. G 17th Missouri Volunteer Infantry. You can do a search for our website just by clicking in Turner Brigade. One of the links is to Phil Hinderbergers'site and has a lot of the info he has collected over the years about the Regiment. Also you may want to e-mail Randy Baehr at robaehr@earthlink.net and request copies of our newsletter as the last two issues have letters written by Captain Franz Wilhelmi from Vicksburg.
I don't know a lot about the 15th.I have heard them called the Swiss Rifles and know that two members of that Regiment are buried near St.Clair, Mo.
