Prof. Bill Piston of Southwest Missouri State University and I are co-authering a book on Missouri in the Civil War for the Portraits of Conflict Series published by the University of Arkansas Press. We are searching for period photographs of Missourians and other troops who served in Missouri. We are also interested in civilian photographs of individuals in the Civil War in Missouri such as nurses, sanitary commission workers, slaves and etc.. We are badly in need of African-American soldiers.
