Re: Who Took MSG Powder From Jeff City June 61?

In "Service With The Missouri State Guard The memoir of Brigadier General James harding" edited by Jim McGhee pp 12-13 deal with his purchasing of this gunpowder. On pp 17-18 he notes where the gunpowder was stored in Jeff City and notes that it was removed and dispersed. He does not state by whom. My belief is that it was by Joseph Kelly. Kelly was late in arriving at Boonville (the night before the skirmish). I can only believe that his delay was in distributing the gunpowder. Another likely candidate could have been Col Robert McCullough (sp) of Cooper County.
