Hi Casey. Those are my thoughts as well but I am still extremely puzzled as to why the only record of Bush Smith's existence is in the marriage license to William T. Anderson and the reports of his friends at the time of the marriage in Sherman, Texas. Surely, she has a birth certificate, death certificate, or shows up on census rolls somewhere.
