Just to be completely clear, the idea for an "Irregular Warfare..." message board is not just for Irregular Warfare in Missouri, but would cover all Partisan, Guerilla and even "perhaps" Outlaw activity in all of the Civil War states and territories.

I have long ago produced a list of Special Interests, including Civil Medicine and Hospitals, Battles and Leaders, Irregular Warfare, etc, that I'd like to add. The recent "Bloody Bill" discussions have encouraged me, that this topic, Irregular Warfare in the Civil War, might be able to support a separate message board. I also have concerns, especially on the Missouri board that the Guerilla and Atrocity discussions might overwhelm the conventional warfare, unit and personnel discussions and discourage or confuse visitors wanting to post a question about a Missouri Regular Army or Militia Unit or Member.

I have started this thread, not to inform anyone that I've made the decision to create this message board, but to ask for input and suggestions.

I hope everyone remembers that there was a great deal of Guerrilla Warfare outside of Missouri and this subject is not being addressed on the other state message boards the way it is in Missouri.
