I couldn't agree more. While the exploits of Mosby and Morgan are well known. Champ Ferguson and Tinker Dave Beatty is a saga in itself. Not to mention lesser known but equally interesting character like Capt. Goldman Bryson, JJ Kirkland, Timothy Lyons, Keith and Malind Blalock "The Bonnie and Clyde of Watauga County", James Keith, Lawrence Allen, Daniel Ellis and the famous or infamous in his neck of the woods, Colonel G.W. Kirk who started out as a partisan raider and guide for the Union and later was in charge of two Union Regiments (quite a few men for a Guerrilla leader) 1st NC Mounted Infantry USA and the 2nd NC Mounted Infantry USA. Oh yes, Jim Martin, we would not want to forget Thomas's Legion which fought Union Regulars, Bushwhackers and bandits, now would we? Y'all have good day.
