I am looking for any details concerning Private Joseph Ewalt of the Missouri State Guard. He was one of five Confederate soldiers killed at the Battle of Athens, Missouri, in 1861. Does anyone know were he is buried? His home town was either Monticello or LaBelle in Lewis County.
