Given info above it appears that James Hutchison relocated himself and family from Newton County Mo to Douglas County between 1859 and 1862. I find no helpful listings for a James Hutchison / Hutchinson in the SOS files or NPS listing from Missouri. I find it striking that given his age and locations at the time with mandatory service required that he did not serve in some EMM unit somewhere.
I suspect he did but can't prove it yet.
