If there is not a SCV camp in your area, you might check if there is a SUVCW camp. Most Sons of Union Veterans camps in this part of the county have several "dual members; (both SCV and SUV). One of our "causes" is graves registration. In fact we have started a graves registration database, now up to almost 500,000 individuals, of men who served in the war. If you will send me the information on those CSA vets buried in the cemetery along with the name of the graveyard and the county it is in, I personally will make sure that they are entered into the database.

In fact, anyone can enter information into the database, you simpy go to the site and register, and once approved, you can enter grave info for any Civil War veteran.

I'm sure a SUV camp would be willing to help you preserve the gravesites....I know that our camp in Stillwater does this sort of thing. We are in the process of getting service documentation to order stones to place at unmarked graves of 15 USA and 3 CSA graves in our local cemetery.

Not all of us Dammed Yankees are a bad lot:)
