Kirby,I got the information from an old paper my cousin
sent me. She stated a lady named Geraldine Sanders Smith
wrote a book called Civil War Soldiers of Madison County.
Inthe book she mentions my gr-grand father, Joseph Johnson,
who was a Confederate soldier in the Civil War. After the
war he returned to Madison County where he enrolled in the
Madison County Miltia in July 1865, Company B. His brother
Hugh, was 1st Lieutenant Company G, his brother Uriah was
in Company E Missouri Militia. I didn't know this until I
