I just got a phone call from a friend who is trying to find out who to conact about an original deed that a friend of theirs found in a house that they bought. He tells me that this deed is dated 1862 where Gen. Grant signs property over to a black man. The deed apparently wasn't filed until 1871. Would anybody know who I could put this person in touch with to find out more about the deed & how valuable it might be? Thanks for your help.........
