I am looking for any information about an attack made at the mouth of the White River in Arkansas by the 10th Missouri Cavalry under Colonel Lawther in June 1864. There was a garrison of soldiers from the 12th Iowa Infantry there under the command of Captain J.R.C. Hunter. The wooden gunboat Lexington was stationed near here and joined the engagement. Any information or source for information would be appreciated.
