Through research and military records,i have found my 5th great grandfather, Horace Wade, served in the 6th Missouri infantry company I during the civil war and was wounded at Vicksburg. Horace was rasied in Berrian county, Michigan and lived there at the time he enlisted, but served in this Missouri regiment. Was this a union regiment? I cant find any information on this unit and would be very interested in its history,its ties to Michigan
