Clardy's Battalion does not appear to have been formally organized until early 1865 in Arkansas, thus it did not participate in the battle at Pilot Knob. In fact, although the evidence is sketchy, some companies of the battalion were not recruited until after that battle.

Fristoe's regiment, as a part of Freeman's brigade, did play a very minor role in the battle.
