Sorry, misspelled Zimmerman in the last post - typing too fast. Just read the post on Jan 5/2008 3:51pm by Arnold W. Zimmerman, Jr. He is the cousin I quote. I thought he had a copy of the diary, but looks like it is just the book he talks about. Anyway, if anybody finds the diary, I would definitely like to see a copy. I've also heard the stories about the gold. My grandma Mollie told stories about bears guarding some sort of payroll from yankees. I'm not sure if it is true. Also that the folks that came in to kill Rufus were "Lincolns" or related to the Lincolns.
