Thanks for posting this. Dan Vaughn's mother was Mary Fuqua Vaughn, wife of Josiah Vaughn. Dan Vaughn survived the war and died in Texas in 1913. His brother Tom was hung in Kansas City in 1862. The hanging is described in one of Margaret Hays' letters to her mother. The Nancy Vaughn in the complaint may have been Nancy (Unknown), Tom Vaughn's widow.

Mrs. Mary Vaughn was probably Mary Hall Vaughn, Dan Vaughn's wife.

I'll see if I can fit this in the website, Margaret Hays mentions this Vaughn family often in the letters.
