Capt. Moses Granville Beck was mygreat great grandfather. He was killed at the Battle of Ashley, Missourri, August 26, 1862. He is buried in Macedonia Cemetery, Montgomery County, Missouri. His daughter, Sara C. E. Beck, is buried beside him. She was apparently nicknamed or "pet" named Burbridge, after a colonel in the Missouri 6th,Sniders Battalion, CSA.
