Re: Quantrill's Lawrence Raid

My great great Grandfather, William Melotte is reported to have been killed by the Bushwhackers in the Civil war. William Melotte's wiife was Sarah Truax, and my great Grandmother was Lydia Margaret Melotte who married Ernest Eugene Graham in Indiana. After the death of my great great grandfatnher, my great grandmother Lydia was sent to Indiana to stay with some childhood friends of her mothers. In my great grandmother's bible one of my distant cousins interviewed my grandmother, Rosa Mae Graham, who told my cousin about her grandfather's untimely death that explained why my great Grandmother was sent by her mother to live in Indiana with the Maelick family, who lived in Etna Green township Kosciusko , Indiana in 1870. I would greatly appriciate any help you might be able to give me to point me to a research place to verify this story. Thanks in advance for any help you can be. Mari J.
