Thanks again. I am seeing John B Rowland in the Cass County Home Guard, the 2nd Battalion State Militia Cavalry, and the 7th militia Cavarly. I don't see him in the 9th Kansas Cavalry. I know my sources are incomplete. How can I read the Watts Hays Letters? Have you joined my discussion group on this topic? We could use all the resources we can get. (I just took a look, and found John B Rowland in the 14th Kansas Cavalry. Could this be the same one?)
