My gg grandfather, Anderson M. Blythe (born, abt. 1830, died 1892), lived in Obion County TN. at the outbreak of the war, & after the war ended.

Family oral history states he served as a private in the Confederate Army.

I can't find him in a TN. unit.

CWSS has an Anderson J. Blythe, 10th MO. Cav. Co. D.

I know I'm reaching and the middle initial doesn't match but I can't help wondering if this man could be my A. Blythe.

Did any men from TN enlist in Mo. units? How close was Obion County TN (far NW TN) to the location where the 10th MO. Cav formed?
