Re: Andrew Jackson "Dick" Kitchen - Bushwacker

Fantastic! Dick Kitchen ran with Bill Wilson, Anthony Wright, "Genuine Jim" Jamison, "One Arm" Tom Brown and many others throughout Phelps, Dent, Texas, Pulaski and Miller counties. I have the Branded as Rebels books and have one of the original copies of the "Bushwacker" book and its various revisions since 1938. I do know of the Harness shop vs. Blackshop shop story. There are variations on the spelling of his name: Kitchen, Ketchen, Kitchens... If there is anything I could do to help you locate any information to confirm stories of Kitchen in Evening Shade, please let me know. It would solve a great mystery as to what happened to Kitchen and hopefully, where he is buried.
