I have been in touch by phone with the Jackson County Genealogy Club and found that they have a list of some Civil War dead, but my great-great-Grandfather is not on it. My guess is that you could check with the county Historical or Genealogy Society for the County where your ancestors lived to see if they have information about your ancestors. I still am looking for info on my ancestor and so far have struck out. I did hear that since my ancestor's home was burned that it probably was Jayhawkers that did it since the Bushwhackers came from and were loyal to the South and as outlaws they killed to rob but seldom burned property after a raid. Good luck on your hunt. Today I will look on Ancestry.com for which I have a paid subscription and see if I can find any information for you.
