One other cemetery to check into would be the Walnut Grove Cemetery. At least one initial dispatch reporting the overrunning of the 3rd MSM that day placed the site near the Walnut Grove Church. On an old map, I once located a Walnut Grove Church a few miles southwest of the actual skirmish site. I don't know if the church still exists but on modern maps I note that there is a Walnut Grove Cemetery three miles northeast of Rocheport on what is now called the West Rocheport Gravel Road.
