Hamilton Brown Farm Massacre

Hamilton Brown was my great grandfather on my mother's side. That would make the young girl (Hamilton's daughter) who saved one of the younger men, my great-great aunt. Being from Callaway County, the assumption is that they were Confederates. As far as I know, he didn't serve during the war, however we haven't delved into his history to a great degree, but have pursued others.

My grandfather Paul I. Brown lived/farmed on the rangeline road, directly W. of Auxvasse.

I was born and raised in Ralls County and went to H.S. at Vandalia, Audrain, Co. One sister, Carolyn McBride, still lives in Vandalia and is a member of the Audrain Co. Hist. Society.
