The headstone remnants had long since been carted off by the time I was there in 2001. The previous owner had told the current owner about the remnants once being at the side of the field. Apparently they had been tossed to the side by a still-earlier tenant so he could farm the area.

Missouri is dotted with these little cemeteries located on private property. I had heard or read something a few years back that some sort of legal protection for them was in the works, but I have never followed up to see if it ever was put in place.
