Its been awhile, so be kind, but I seem to remember in the North & South magazine article on the Battle of Lone Jack (late 2004?) reference was made to a dozen or so young civilian volunteers joining in the battle with some of them named. Can't put my hand on the article right away but it may be on line somewhere.
