I am reading about the problems troopers of the 2nd Colorado Cavalry had with their carbines and revolvers fighting against guerrillas in west-central Missouri during spring and summer 1864. What brand and type of firearms were these, and with what were they replaced? I need this information for both the carbines and revolvers. I also need a source or two for this information that I may cite. Thanks for any help you can provide. I will also place this query in the "Arms and Equipment of the Civil War Message Board" and see which one can get the answers out the fastest.
