Michael,

You are welcome, although I could give you nothing solid. My guesses are still guesses.

I am familiar with Arthur's 1938 book, and I am grateful that somebody reprinted that rare book in the 1970s and 1980s so I could finally get to read it. I just wish Arthur would have been able to put some dates to some of those events he described. I find it very difficult to match Arthur's events (very true, I am sure) to the events about Wilson that I have from Yankee sources, newspapers, local materials, and the like. There are many Ozark Civil War histories that describe who, what, where, and even how and why but cannot pin down the when. I realize that other than dates of death on somebody's tombstone or written in the family Bible, the writers are unable to provide the dates. Oh well, that is my problem.

Bruce
