Jane, I regret that I have no information in response to your inquiry. My Knight ancestors moved from Meigs Co. Tenn. to the White River Valley near Batesville Arkansas in the late 1840s. To my knowledge, none lived in Missouri. However, there were several families of them, all related, and the families were large. Some of them that are listed in the 1850 census are not listed in 1860, indicating that they relocated. If I find anything helpful to you I will advise you. They were Confederates and many served both east and west of the Mississippi.
