I've seen that, too. It is posted on the Mo SOS site and I've read the whole article in the Moniteau history book. Several points in the rest of the article are way off and we wonder about the civil war business. We'd like to find some other reference other than the infamous Moniteau history book. Any other way I can find him? Certainly serving four years there wouldbe a pay roster? I found plenty evidence of service for other relatives.
