Thank you, also. I am just thinking this young man didn't serve for free - no pay rosters can I find. No oath of allegiance, my own ggf wouldn't sign - but he "name appears on a list" of Oath of Allegiance, but that was in Va. Mr. Coleman ended up living in Moniteau Co Mo and there were hundreds and hundreds fo O of A's filed there - including his father in law. I'd like to find him to confimr the colorful stories.
