William E. Coleman, Sgt, lived pre and post war in Chariton County Missouri. His service reads almost identical to the abstraction from the Moniteau History book. Interestingly William F Coleman of the question at hand is found in the 1880 Census in Moniteau County and is certainly not the W E Coleman of Chariton County. Its a good mystery.
