Does anyone know if a history of the 8th Missouri Cavalry was ever published? I've consulted Dornbusch and I have access to Dyer's and the ORs so I know what is available there and I also have a copy of the Albert DeMuth letters book. In the 1897 reunion booklet mention is made of a regimental history committee that was supposed to write a chapter on each company. Wonder if that was ever done? If so, could it have been published in a newspaper and never published as a book? Or, does anyone know of any reminiscences published in newspapers or magazines of soldiers from the unit? Most of the men were from Greene and Webster Counties. Thanks, Steve
