Please help identify this "Chaplin Good", i.e. his vital data. ..Good's Squad patrolled the area between Fort Arbuckle, Indian Territory and Fort Belknap, Young County TX from about August 1864 to June 1865. ..Good's Squad was attached to Wells' Battalion (of 581 soldiers) whose archival records are transcribed by David L. Haimerl of Stover MO and posted on my web page.

Good, Chaplin Good: Attended but didn’t graduate from West Point (1852-6). Appt. Aide-de-Camp (as LTC) for BG M.M. Parsons’ 6th Division, Missouri State Guard. Received recruiting authority, per SO#176, Para. II, HQ TM Dept., for 60 days to raise a MO Cav Co. north of Ark. R., and if possible a Bn of cav (see Appendixes for full order). COL of Good’s Tx Cav Bn. LTC of Wells’ Rgt. In a 3 Dec 64 letter requests a commission in the P.A.C.S. and states received his education at West Point which he entered in 1852 and resigned in 1856; and currently has a Texas commission but as of yet hasn’t received one in P.A.C.S. Present at Apr 65 muster.15
