Elmer, this is very interesting, do you know if a list exists for Wayne or Bollinger County? I see on the 1870 census that there are many men with a "tick" in the box headed "Male Citizens of US of 21 years of age and upwards whose right to vote is denied or abridged on other grounds than rebellion or other crime." But what's interesting about this Iron County list is that is shows the reasons WHY they were not allowed to vote (ie "gave clothes to his son who was in the Rebel army" and etc). Thanks for posting this.
