Capture of the Guerrilla Poindexter

While cleaning off some old files on my computer, I found a scanned New York Times notice of the capture of Poindexter. If anyone would like a copy, let me know. My husband's ancestor served under Poindexter.

Capture of the Guerrilla Poindexter
St. Joseph, Mo., Tuesday, Sept. 2

Poindexter, the notorious leader of Guerrilla bands in Missouri, was caught last night twenty miles from Hudson, on the Hannibal and Missouri Railroad, while asleep in a house.
Poindexter has since been condemned as a spy and will suffer death.
