According to Don Hale's, "Branded as Rebels, Vol. III, Part II" Joseph Tilford Noland joined the Confederate Army at age 14. He served under Shanks', was a private under Upton Hays, was with Yeager and later George Todd when they were killed.

At the meeting we talked about the relationships of several of the guerrillas. Seems like there are more and more discovered.
