I knew about Millsap being killed in western Lincoln County from the 1888 Goodspeed history (page 405) of the county, but there were no other details except him being one of three in the county that voted for Lincoln. Goodspeed had this taking place in the autumn of 1863, not the spring. I put this in my 1863 book. I had no knowledge Captain Drury Pulliam was involved, but I am not surprised, as he lent his services to assist other Confederate recruiting in this area that year.

Please share with us your sources for the rest of these details.

I found an old query in the Rootsweb MO-CW site written by an ancestor of Millsap's, a Nancy Winston, but I don't think she knew many details about her ancestor's death.
