Another decent Congressional report which holds back no words on calling Fremont's and Lyon's organization of "Union" militias illegal and irregular. Which of course strikes me as a bit of vindication for the the formation of the MSG. Talks at length about various mutinous units particularly of the USRC and where those soldiers ended up (north MO under Merrill and Cairo) doing hard labor.
