Patricia, on October 13, 1864 Alonzo Slaybacks command was attached to Shelby's Iron Brigade then commanded by Jeff Thompson. The Brigade was at the time part of Price's raid into Missouri, and if memory serves were advancing upon Jefferson City, Missouri and Glasgow on that day. At any rate your acestor could not have been in Texas on that day if he was part of Slayback's command, which was designated a battalion.
