Hugh Cain service card, Mo Archives:
This is a confusing card: I have no idea why it shows enlistment in "Mason City Va"
And I don't currently find a Mason City in either Missouri or Virginia.
The transfer and reassignment from and to "4th Va Vol Inf" in Feb and June1864 is also puzzling.
(Be sure to scroll down to 2nd card also)
Is this the Hugh Cain who was in Stone Co, Mo 1860, age 40 born Ireland?
