If you want more information about Capt. Samuel W. Headlee please email me direct. He was my great-great grandfather, and I have some of his muster rolls. His sword is hanging in General Sweeny's Museum near Wilson's Creek National Battlefield, or at least it was, as the collection has been purchased by the NPS and I have not been there since that. He is buried in a small family cemetery on his old homestead in northern Greene County.

There was also another Samuel Headlee, cousin to this one, who was a preacher and who was shot & killed during the Civil War because his preaching offended someone. He is buried at Elm Springs Cemetery.
