Mr. Shattuck got some names wrong in his report. Big Baum Creek should be "Big Barren Creek". Shelton's Mill should be "Chilton's Mill". Centre County should probably be "Carter County". There is a Brushy Creek in Carter County. Buffalo Creek is correct for Ripley County.
Sorry, I have no info on the Land family. I think there may be a report in the O.R. by Tim Reeves on this. Reeves was following Shattuck's Patrol if my memory has not failed me.
