Thanks Jack, I had been told that the 13th Ill. was the unit involved but had not found the reference. I'm new to civil war period research. I'm trying to put together a regional history of this period and the effects upon family relationships. Many of the people involved had migrated over the same pathways from modern day TN, KY and NC. Most stopped in Washington County and St. Francis County before going on to Carter, Ripley, Shannon, Reynolds, Iron, Wayne and Dent Counties. Many of these men had fathers who fought together in milita companies in the war of 1812 and before. This information will help with my time line.
